Pick a time

How do you book a phone consultation?

Choose a slot in the calendar and you will get a confirmation with the time of your call. If the calendar does not load on your device, call (703) 712-1506 instead.

Water coming in right now? Do not wait for a slot. Call the office, and meanwhile put a bucket under the drip and keep clear of wet ceilings and light fixtures. Please stay off the roof.

The call

What happens in the 15 minutes?

The call is a conversation about your roof, not a sales presentation. Roughly, it runs in four parts.

  • You describe it. What you see, where, and when it started.
  • We ask questions. Roof age, the covering, earlier repairs and whether anything has changed after a storm.
  • We explain the likely options. Whether the symptoms point toward a repair, a larger job or something that is not the roof at all.
  • We agree on the next step. That may be photos by text, a visit to the property, or simply advice you can use on your own.

There is no charge for the call and nothing to sign. It is the only free offer we make, and it is meant to give you a clear view before you decide anything.

Before you call

What should you have ready?

None of this is required, but it saves minutes on a short call.

The property

The street address or at least the town, the type of home and whether it is a house, townhouse or a flat-roofed building. If an association is involved, know its name.

What you see

Where the stain or drip shows up indoors, whether shingle pieces are in the yard, when it started and whether it happens only in wind-driven rain.

The roof itself

The approximate age, the covering if you know it, and anything done to it before. A home inspection report or an old invoice helps if you have one.

Photos, only if safe. Take them from the ground, from a window or from inside the attic if it is easy to reach. Ceiling stains, gutters, and the roof edge from the yard are all useful. Never climb a wet or steep roof for a picture.

Is it the right first step

When does a phone call make sense?

A leak or stain you cannot place

A short description often narrows the likely source, such as flashing, a vent boot or a valley. See roof repair for how those problems are handled.

A roof that is getting old

If you are weighing a repair against a new roof, talk through the signs first. Our roof replacement page covers what a full job involves.

A flat or low-slope roof

Porch roofs, additions and commercial roofs behave differently from shingle slopes. Read about flat roof repair before or after the call.

Storm damage or a second opinion

If wind or a fallen limb did the damage, see roof insurance claims for background. You can also bring a scope you already have and ask what it means.

FAQ

Phone consultation questions

Is the phone consultation really free?

Yes. The 15-minute call costs nothing and carries no obligation. It is the only free offer we make, and you do not have to book any work afterward.

Can you quote a price on the phone?

Not reliably. Roof work depends on size, pitch, access, the condition of the decking and the covering you choose, and those are hard to judge by voice. On the call we can explain what drives the price so you know what to ask any contractor.

What if I have an active leak?

Call (703) 712-1506 instead of waiting for a calendar slot. Availability depends on the schedule and the weather, so ask on the call what is possible. Until then, contain the water indoors and stay off the roof.

Can I send photos before the call?

Yes, and they help. Ask for the best way to send them when you call or book. Ground-level shots, ceiling stains and gutter views are enough, and nobody needs to go up on the roof.

Who will call me after I book?

Someone from King's Roofing calls the phone number you enter at the time you chose. Use a number you will answer, and check that it is typed correctly before you confirm.

Do you work from my address, or do I visit an office?

Roof assessments happen at your property, so you do not need to come to us. Call (703) 712-1506 first and we will talk it through.

Does a consultation lead to a visit?

Sometimes. If the call shows that someone needs to look at the roof in person, we arrange that as the next step. If advice is all you need, the call can end there.

Talk through the next step

Prefer to talk it through right now?

Call the office, describe the roof and the decision you need to make, and we will tell you what the next step looks like.
